4.0.3a kept me busy

As all of you active wow gamers know, patch 4.0.3a launched this week. The shattering of the world, water everywhere. Yes, quite an exciting patch preparing us for Cataclysm. So I'll show you in pictures what I've been doing, and I still have sooo much to do! Haha, Blizzard knows how to keep us busy.

Also, I was helping out a friend with a pilgrim achievement, the one where you have to go to the alliance capital cities and sit at their tables. Well.. That was one hell of a task when the Auberdine boats are gone, and guards are level 85. THANK YOU! That took 2h 20m, x deaths, and 53g repair. I even had to sacrifice myself (bear druid), so she could get the chance to sit down at the Ironforge table. They could have seriously waited with the 85 guards and removal of portals until we can learn Azeroth flying... Now, the pictures!

First off, look at the cute babies!

You'll also get a personal boat for use in Thousand Needles. Awesome much.

Meet my pet dog Frank. He can lock is jaws.

Then I got the Goblin mount, Trike. I don't feel environmental friendly in it.

Then I found myself a seagull, named Irriterende. He makes annoying seagull squeaks, so I'll be using him in PvP. Because I can. Irriterende can do a backflip.

Then I found myself a cute fox.

He knows how to dance, and with that I'll call him the ultimate girls pet. No name for him yet.

I got picked up by a valkyrie.

Had a nice girl talk with Lady Sylvanas.

And then I got picked up again by a valkyrie, next to a dead guy this time.

Needless to say, I actually love the new stuff for now. Goblin quests is something everyone should get to! Wonder what the world will do to me next.

Funny bug

Tier 11

I'm still going on about WoW. My nail is getting better thou :)

Okeey, there you have them arranged like on the talent trees I believe. Honestly I like some of them but I feel they don't really match except from the colour scheme, well atleast not priest and hunter. They look like awesome underwater folks while the rest looks ready to take on Deathwing and all other miseries. And ugh with the huge buckles! I've had enough aesthetic problems with the Titan-Forged Waistguard of Triumph. And why does warlock have four colours? Hmm..

Patch 4.0.1

So the new patch, mana turned to focus, tree of life form is gone, mastery points.. I don't know where to begin. I can start out by saying I'm more positively surprised then expected. I had anxiety problems just thinking about the changes on both the hunter and druid.. I shouldn't have although WoW is starting to feel like a different game.

Hunter
Lets start with the hunter, considering this is a hunter blog and all. Volley is gone, and the only problem I've experienced thus far is the damn roaches in Stratholme. They're melees of course and they don't trigger traps. YIEK! Never going in there without an AoE pet again.
For AoE'ing in groups, this is what I do: Trap Launcher , Explosive Trap , Multi-Shot
And as survival, you can use talents on getting serpent sting spread with your multi-shot. Cool right? Now, multi-shot does require 40 focus (bleh). So you will only get two out there in a row. I've got SS glyphed so I regen 2 more focus on dazed targets which helps a little. Concussive Shot is free :)

Over to Mastery Points, I'm now up to 10% (you'll find the reforge (nightelf ò.Ó) in the hut where you find the Enchanting trainer. It's probably trackable. Speaing of tracking, you can now track as much as you want at once. Anyway, increasing my mastery points from 8 to 10% actually made a lot of difference in my dps. I had a lot of hit to take from.
" Increases all elemental damage you deal by 8%. Each point of Mastery increases elemental damage by an additional 1%." for survival hunters.

Resto Druid, healing was a piece of pie compared to what I thought it would be. As you probably know they're replacing the old tree form and here's the new design for Cata:

Pretty? NO!! Luckily they're adding a minor glyph so you can be a treant instead of this huge.. Taunka tree mushroom.
Anyway, the now castable tree form is actually alright. I thought I would really miss being a tree 24/7 but I'll survive this. Instant regrowths and all that is worth it.

Mages are overpowered and will be nerfed. But I love it now! I don't have much more to say on that subject as I'm only lvl 69.

Warlocks have some new abilities and it seems awesome, and no more hassle with soul shards. I need more time to try it out.

Paladin? Ugh. Seems cool with the new bonus system but I haven't tried it yet.

That's all I have to say today about my experience with Cataclysm preparations. I'll spend the coming week exploring a bit more (hunter pets etc), and maybe find me a bunker to hide in from the earthquakes. lol

I have to add one thing. For those that didn't get a 310% mount before this patch, have to pay 5000g if they want it. Which is insane.. 3000g or something would do, imo. Oh well, I have a 310% mount, so I got it for free. Yay! Read more

Cataclysm 7th December

As most of you know Blizzard have confirmed the release of Cataclysm the 7th of December. To me this means two months of Zul Gurub farming since it will no longer be a raid instance.

I actually have no idea what my feelings are about Cataclysm. Like always I see both positive and negative things. As for gameplay it looks like Blizzard finally is tuning up the dungeon difficulties again, but this means more wiping and more whining from PMS'ing 12yo. If you haven't heard the nice sentences like:
FFS
NOOOOUBB
WTF!!!
LEARn TO PLAY!!IDIOT

You will definitely see them in Cataclysm. Good thing here is that you won't go far without learning to work together as a group. Which you are. A group. So hopefully some people will give up (is that rude?) playing dungeons until they improve their gameplay.
It might sound that I think I'm the best or something now, but ofc I'm not. I'm just saying, moving from a purple circle on the floor or hiding behind rocks isn't that hard. You just need to focus. My plans for Cataclysm isn't all that big, but I'm going to focus on the new profession archaeology. And dear lord.. The voices of NPC's  in general are horrible. You'd think Blizzard could afford something better. Read more

Zalazane's fall and inspired mani

As some of you know, tomorrow for EU players (already live on US) they are launching the Zalazane's fall event during maintenance. This is a piece of lore for what's happening in the Cataclysm expansion, and if you participate you will get a feast of strength achievement. Yay!
Echo isles will be the new starting area for trolls after Zalazane's fall. And as the looks of it, it's going to be the best area to start in for totally new players. You know this guy well if you're a horde.

So because of the awesome poster they've made, I decided to make a mani based on it. Had some troubles with Vol'jin's eyes but what the ick. I loved doing this one because of all the sponging and no fear of going outside the lines :)

How WoW is treating me

Me and an in-game friend of my decided to do the first boss in TBC raid Karazhan in hopes of getting the mount he drops. Attumen the huntsman is the proud owner of the female horse Midnight, and the mount that drops have her looks,
Fiery Warhorse's Reins.

Attumen is pretty easy to do, at least when you're two. We do these sorts of farming in two ways:

1. My hunter and her bear Cutiepaij as tank in the BM specc, and my friend as a mage in frost specc for more survival.
2. My hunter as pure dps in survival specc, and my friend as a protection paladin.

To make it smooth without any risk of dying, we went with option 2.

Attumen have three phases. First you have to attack Midnight which is neutral. After you hit on her for a little while, Attumen comes to the rescue.
Now you have the both of them in front of you, just nuke one of them and he will mount Midnight before he or she dies and you're at the last phase. There might spawn some of the horses you previously killed during a fight, nukenukenuke. More nuking. Loot and hope for the mount.

I won the roll and got the mount.

Want to know the funny part? The day after, my friend got  Deathcharger's Reins which drops of Baron Rivendare inside Stratholme.I think Blizzard have heard our calls.

Moan over hunters in Cata

I know it's almost/very pathetic depending on who you are, but I'm almost in sorrow now. They're removing volley in Cataclysm..

I quote from MMO:

"Volley removed from the game (And of course when I don't report a missing skill because I think it's a bug, it's actually gone for real)
It's gone. We want to make Multi-Shot the spell hunters use for AE.

Channeling a spell that makes arrows fall out of the sky doesn't feel like a hunter ability and doesn't even really match the name of the spell.

Only class with a minimal range and now without volley only class without an aoe /shakes head
You realize "only class" claims are viewed as a success by the developers. The classes are too similar as it is. (Source)

Most seem to think they simply removed it and that we will be using multishot instead.
Yep. Volley was edging out Mult-Shot, even though we think the latter is the more interesting ability. Volley felt too much like a magic spell and not something a hunter was doing with her bow or gun. (Source)"

What I think is pretty obvious. Fine, explosive traps do a decent damage for AoE, but it will never compare to my 2k per mob volley.. Aaaaah I'm so annoyed. They better reduce the cooldown on multi shot.

Beta invites

If you don't follow mmo-champion like a slave (*cough* I do!). I figured I had to share the fact that Blizzard have started to send out Cataclysm invites to the ones they pick out. All you have to do is make sure you have activated the beta profile settings, and update your mail like a crazy person.

This is the first batch of invites, and I think they're done sending them out soon. But they will keep sharing invites in the weeks before the release. I have my hopes up!

Retardins

You find them everywhere, but unlike other classes, noob paladins are easy to spot right away.

• They often have the title: Jenkins
• Guildless or in a guild with a very immature name
• On the horde side, it's usually the male characters with blonde short hair
  
• They do not buff you, and if they do they give everybody BoM
• They do not speak a word if you tell or ask them something
• Rarely attack mobs, they prefer looking at people doing the job
• Need roll on all the gear because of the OS they'll never use
• Few of them know what Divine Storm is, or any special attack for that matter

Introducing my pets: Part 1

Say hello to Cutiepaij! This is my darling polar bear from Zul'Drak. He is a tenacity pet, and have been through everything imaginable with me. He is my little tanking God :)
Cutiepaij usually does what ever he feels like.. Sometimes he decides to run left when I tell him right, attacks the caster when I tell him to take the melee mob and so on. Don't get me wrong, I do have control over my pets, but Cutie is mostly on defensive mode and have his own mind about things. He is such a lagged little baby. He refuses to attack mobs when he is standing on boxes or carriages, and always plant his butt on the ground near the energy wall in Dire Maul west.

I just want to eat him up, the "RAWR" sounds he makes when going into battle is so adorable.

My last Q's

Not sure how helpful it is, but atleast you might get an idea about which ones you've done. The one that surprised me the most have to be in Feralas, Dire Maul quest. I've run DM sooo many times, but it seems like I skipped the last quest in the chain the guy on the patteo gives out.

Loremaster

So I finally got Loremaster (of Kalimdor). And I didn't do AQ quests, or the last chain in the tier 0.5 questline. I will try to make maps over where I found my last q's, maybe it will help someone. Good luck if you're working on this ach :) Pst: Don't believe people saying this is easy. You go "woah, that wasn't that hard" when you're done. But you want to bite your fingers off while you're missing the last 30.

Celestial Steed

Oh hurray! It's finally in the Blizzard store. It can be yours for 20 (where's that crab sign.. Okey I found it, but not the combination on how to use it. lol! *copy paste*) €. Yeah. That's about 159NOK, and you will get it on all your chars and future chars. Also works as a lvl 20 mount. I feel so leet running around on my mage with it.

The only negative I've found so far is:

1. Everybody have him, but he's still cool.
2. When he swim, he fly..
3. He doesn't put his wings out to "glide" when he fall.
I call him "he" because he is like Pegasus, and I consider a horse from Gods as a he. Idk why.



You won't get any achievements for buying it, but I'm hoping they will add that if they ever take the mount out of the Blizzard store. Read more
