Building a cat tower..

The reason why I'm building this tower is that every kitten I've ever had, pee on it at first. So I've already thrown out two big ones (kittens can become very expensive, lol), and now I'm reusing some of the pieces (read: caves and scratch poles) and I've used material from an old desk, and lopsided poles my dad won't use while he's renovating the apartment upstairs. All I've bought is some fabric and 30m of rope.

This have taken some time to do, and it's not even close to looking like my sketches! But it feels so good to do something for the cats. Reminds me, almost every nail polish blogger I've come across have cats. Fun fun.

What's left? Some extra pieces of wood to support it more, and finish up wrapping the rope around the poles. My fingers are sore!

Now I'm taking a break to eat pancakes with blueberries I picked at my cabin. Nomnom!

French mani and new kitten!

I'll start with today's mani. Simple french tip for once. I used to be hooked on french, but I've gone into the bold world lately!

I used base coat, one coat of O.P.I I'm yours. It's very sheer.
Then I painted the tips with China Glaze White Out, topped it with another coat of O.P.I (I usually apply it before the white on the tips is totally dry, that way it blends a tiny bit), and then sealed it in with top coat.

Forgot to apply nail oil as usual. Sigh..


And here's the new family member! We don't have a name for him yet thou, any suggestions?

Animal testing

-With a bunch of hypocrites.

I've been reading alot of blogs, Norwegian mainly, with young girls going "GOGOGO NO ANIMAL CRUELTY". I mean.. Come on. I support "against animal cruelty" 100%, but believing an email they get from a company saying that they don't test anything, is kind of bullshit. Think about it. How many can with their hand on the heart say that absolutely none of the ingredients have been tested at some point? And how can they even know? Maybe not in this decade, or the one before that. Sounds like a major lie to me. And when some companies (i.e The Body Shop, Yves Rocher) try to explain this to the consumers, they get "not animal-friendly" stamps on their forehead.

The important thing is to boycott all the companies one can actually dig deep and find lab-rats being tortured, or beagles for that matter, and stop wasting precious time on theories and speculations.
