I'm alive!!
Happy new year!
Again I've used ages between posts. My reason being? Well, I needed some me time. I'm the kind of person that gets exhausted after 2hrs outside the house, and with Christmas and cleaning to do my brain have unplugged whenever it can.
So now I have my energy halfway back and I'm looking greatly forward to all the new nail polish collections coming this winter.
On the beauty side of life, I've kept it very simple with french manis, and 2011 started for me with blacks and grays. Wearing CC Revvvolution as we speak. Have you used a specific side of the colourwheel this year? And does your mood effect the colours you choose? I tend to use dark colours when I need to relax, and brigther sparkly ones to quickly recharge. Funny how that works.. :)
Here's a picture of the latest artsie stuff (late December, totally last year). Tried out a glitter polish from Savina, the worst goopy thing ever created.. I really suck at taking pictures too. It actually looks pretty and sparkly in real life.
Also, cold sores and acetone don't mix well AND I just ran out of non-acetone. On to the positive, I've bought myself a lot of new skincare products.
Unplugged brain = less wow too. I've reached 85, barely done any dungeons, no hc's and so on.. At least I'm only an inch away from 525 archeology skill. And I got to tame Arcturis (the see thru spirit beast bear), yay!
That should sum it up! Hope y'all have had a nice Christmas, and I also hope you haven't made a ton of new years resolutions you can't keep. Read more

Two christmas designs
IEEK, are you guys excited? Cataclysm is launched tonight! *dance*
I've already installed the game, which was by far one of the fastest DVD installations I've ever experienced. My plan is to play archeologist all night while I'm consuming unhealthy food. Oh game world..
Anyway, I've had two manis the last couple of days, but the image quality isn't all that good.. Sorry about that. I also have cold sores on some of my fingers, so I won't be posting pictures of them all. Speaking of cold, our tap actually froze the other day. lol
Jack from A Nightmare Before Christmas, dressed as Santa. A must right?
And a chain of sloppy Christmas lights.
Oh, I received my order from Coastalscents today. And I do believe the Camo quad concealer is my new HG.. I'll review it after a few weeks. :) Read more

Winter SOS from the fridge
My skin is so horrible to deal with this winter. It's hot most of the time, itchy, scaly and dry. And since I react to a lot of chemicals, I don't dare to go out and buy a "wonderproduct". My skin needed peeling and something to calm it, right there and then.
Peeling and sore skin is rarely a good combination, but it was two whole weeks since I peeled it last and I could see all the build up and new spots growing on the forehead, yuk. I used a milder sugar scrub then I usually do and it's wonderful (planing on buying an enzyme peel soon, which is great for sensitive skin since it peels without any beads).
Moisturizing peeling
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon honey (manuka is great)
Dilute with water until desired consistency (I added glycerine and jojoba oil aswell)
Put it on a clean face very carefully. After 30 seconds of smoothing it on, let it sit a minute or two and continue massaging gently. If it feels rough, take another 1-2 minute break and repeat. After you're done scrubbing, you can let it sit for another 5 minutes or so. The honey does wonders to aggravated and dry skin.
After the peeling I used plain youghurt. Organic is preferred. This have a great cooling effect and reduces environmentally red skin for a little while. Yoghurt contains lactic acid, and is therefor also a mild exfoliant. So some of you might experience a tingly sensation. If it hurts, rinse it straight off.
Cooling mask
1-2 teaspoon plain unflavored yoghurt
(you can add some honey for extra moisture)
Use a brush to avoid mess, and apply a nice and thick layer of yoghurt. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, and rinse with luke warm water. Apply a good coat of your favourite night cream or mask, and go to bed! :) I've used this mask 3 days in a row now.
Super cheap, mild for the skin unless you're allergic to some of the ingredients and no bad feelings for the environment. It's also suitable for all skin types, especially acne perhaps because of the antibacterial effect from the honey and yoghurt, plus the lactic acid from the yoghurt.
With that out of the way, I'm actually done with my Christmas shopping! Oh internet how I love the.. I absolutely hate full packed stores, children running wild while their parents are carrying 1786 shopping bags and a stressed face.
Are any of my readers done with their shopping, and how do you feel about shopping in regular stores in this time of the year? Read more

Christmas nails
I guess there's no advent without Christmas decorations. The fimo cane sanats were a little disappointing because they're so tiny, lol.
Yeah, i'll keep trying to make a not-so-random Christmas design. Read more

4.0.3a kept me busy
As all of you active wow gamers know, patch 4.0.3a launched this week. The shattering of the world, water everywhere. Yes, quite an exciting patch preparing us for Cataclysm. So I'll show you in pictures what I've been doing, and I still have sooo much to do! Haha, Blizzard knows how to keep us busy.
Also, I was helping out a friend with a pilgrim achievement, the one where you have to go to the alliance capital cities and sit at their tables. Well.. That was one hell of a task when the Auberdine boats are gone, and guards are level 85. THANK YOU! That took 2h 20m, x deaths, and 53g repair. I even had to sacrifice myself (bear druid), so she could get the chance to sit down at the Ironforge table. They could have seriously waited with the 85 guards and removal of portals until we can learn Azeroth flying... Now, the pictures!
First off, look at the cute babies!
You'll also get a personal boat for use in Thousand Needles. Awesome much.
Meet my pet dog Frank. He can lock is jaws.
Then I got the Goblin mount, Trike. I don't feel environmental friendly in it.
Then I found myself a seagull, named Irriterende. He makes annoying seagull squeaks, so I'll be using him in PvP. Because I can. Irriterende can do a backflip.
Then I found myself a cute fox.
He knows how to dance, and with that I'll call him the ultimate girls pet. No name for him yet.
I got picked up by a valkyrie.
Had a nice girl talk with Lady Sylvanas.
And then I got picked up again by a valkyrie, next to a dead guy this time.
Needless to say, I actually love the new stuff for now. Goblin quests is something everyone should get to! Wonder what the world will do to me next.

China Glaze, Party Heart
Another polish from the holiday 2010 collection. This one is a glitter top coat. The glitter particles are as you can see in three various sizes. Tiny gold ones, medium greens and large reds. Also think they're all supposed to be hexagons. Anyway, the perfect finish for a jolly manicure and I really do recommend buying one like right now if you like it, since these are limited.
Pictures are one coat on top of a white polish.

Tis the season, 3 in 1
The last couple of days have just flown by me totally. But although the days have passed, I've still coloured my nails! So here's China Glaze: Midnight Kiss, Naughty And Nice, Mrs. Claus.
China Glaze Midnight Kiss is a wonderful pale gold foil. I only have one negative thing to point out with this one, it bubbled up a little when it dried. It may have been just a reaction with my NailTek base. Two coats.
China Glaze Mrs. Claus is exactly what I would think Mrs. Claus would wear, in both clothing and nails. It's a redish pink base with pink and silver glitter. It flashes so beautifully in the shade, perfect girls night out polish. Love eeet. Two generous coats.
China Glaze Naughty And Nice is a very dark plum red. I was actually a little disappointed with this one. With the first coat it had a lovely vampy red plum colour, but on the second it looks very black. Also got some bald spots during application. Two coats.
