IEEK, are you guys excited? Cataclysm is launched tonight! *dance*
I've already installed the game, which was by far one of the fastest DVD installations I've ever experienced. My plan is to play archeologist all night while I'm consuming unhealthy food. Oh game world..
Anyway, I've had two manis the last couple of days, but the image quality isn't all that good.. Sorry about that. I also have cold sores on some of my fingers, so I won't be posting pictures of them all. Speaking of cold, our tap actually froze the other day. lol
Jack from A Nightmare Before Christmas, dressed as Santa. A must right?
And a chain of sloppy Christmas lights.
Oh, I received my order from Coastalscents today. And I do believe the Camo quad concealer is my new HG.. I'll review it after a few weeks. :)

Winter SOS from the fridge
My skin is so horrible to deal with this winter. It's hot most of the time, itchy, scaly and dry. And since I react to a lot of chemicals, I don't dare to go out and buy a "wonderproduct". My skin needed peeling and something to calm it, right there and then.
Peeling and sore skin is rarely a good combination, but it was two whole weeks since I peeled it last and I could see all the build up and new spots growing on the forehead, yuk. I used a milder sugar scrub then I usually do and it's wonderful (planing on buying an enzyme peel soon, which is great for sensitive skin since it peels without any beads).
Moisturizing peeling
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon honey (manuka is great)
Dilute with water until desired consistency (I added glycerine and jojoba oil aswell)
Put it on a clean face very carefully. After 30 seconds of smoothing it on, let it sit a minute or two and continue massaging gently. If it feels rough, take another 1-2 minute break and repeat. After you're done scrubbing, you can let it sit for another 5 minutes or so. The honey does wonders to aggravated and dry skin.
After the peeling I used plain youghurt. Organic is preferred. This have a great cooling effect and reduces environmentally red skin for a little while. Yoghurt contains lactic acid, and is therefor also a mild exfoliant. So some of you might experience a tingly sensation. If it hurts, rinse it straight off.
Cooling mask
1-2 teaspoon plain unflavored yoghurt
(you can add some honey for extra moisture)
Use a brush to avoid mess, and apply a nice and thick layer of yoghurt. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, and rinse with luke warm water. Apply a good coat of your favourite night cream or mask, and go to bed! :) I've used this mask 3 days in a row now.
Super cheap, mild for the skin unless you're allergic to some of the ingredients and no bad feelings for the environment. It's also suitable for all skin types, especially acne perhaps because of the antibacterial effect from the honey and yoghurt, plus the lactic acid from the yoghurt.
With that out of the way, I'm actually done with my Christmas shopping! Oh internet how I love the.. I absolutely hate full packed stores, children running wild while their parents are carrying 1786 shopping bags and a stressed face.
Are any of my readers done with their shopping, and how do you feel about shopping in regular stores in this time of the year? Read more

4.0.3a kept me busy
As all of you active wow gamers know, patch 4.0.3a launched this week. The shattering of the world, water everywhere. Yes, quite an exciting patch preparing us for Cataclysm. So I'll show you in pictures what I've been doing, and I still have sooo much to do! Haha, Blizzard knows how to keep us busy.
Also, I was helping out a friend with a pilgrim achievement, the one where you have to go to the alliance capital cities and sit at their tables. Well.. That was one hell of a task when the Auberdine boats are gone, and guards are level 85. THANK YOU! That took 2h 20m, x deaths, and 53g repair. I even had to sacrifice myself (bear druid), so she could get the chance to sit down at the Ironforge table. They could have seriously waited with the 85 guards and removal of portals until we can learn Azeroth flying... Now, the pictures!
First off, look at the cute babies!
You'll also get a personal boat for use in Thousand Needles. Awesome much.
Meet my pet dog Frank. He can lock is jaws.
Then I got the Goblin mount, Trike. I don't feel environmental friendly in it.
Then I found myself a seagull, named Irriterende. He makes annoying seagull squeaks, so I'll be using him in PvP. Because I can. Irriterende can do a backflip.
Then I found myself a cute fox.
He knows how to dance, and with that I'll call him the ultimate girls pet. No name for him yet.
I got picked up by a valkyrie.
Had a nice girl talk with Lady Sylvanas.
And then I got picked up again by a valkyrie, next to a dead guy this time.
Needless to say, I actually love the new stuff for now. Goblin quests is something everyone should get to! Wonder what the world will do to me next.

China Glaze, Party Heart
Another polish from the holiday 2010 collection. This one is a glitter top coat. The glitter particles are as you can see in three various sizes. Tiny gold ones, medium greens and large reds. Also think they're all supposed to be hexagons. Anyway, the perfect finish for a jolly manicure and I really do recommend buying one like right now if you like it, since these are limited.
Pictures are one coat on top of a white polish.

Tis the season, 3 in 1
The last couple of days have just flown by me totally. But although the days have passed, I've still coloured my nails! So here's China Glaze: Midnight Kiss, Naughty And Nice, Mrs. Claus.
China Glaze Midnight Kiss is a wonderful pale gold foil. I only have one negative thing to point out with this one, it bubbled up a little when it dried. It may have been just a reaction with my NailTek base. Two coats.
China Glaze Mrs. Claus is exactly what I would think Mrs. Claus would wear, in both clothing and nails. It's a redish pink base with pink and silver glitter. It flashes so beautifully in the shade, perfect girls night out polish. Love eeet. Two generous coats.
China Glaze Naughty And Nice is a very dark plum red. I was actually a little disappointed with this one. With the first coat it had a lovely vampy red plum colour, but on the second it looks very black. Also got some bald spots during application. Two coats.

Beginners in the nail art world
What is pretty obvious is that I've only had this obsession with nail polish and nail art the last year and a half. Reading blogs about the subject and seeing all the gorgeous designs really made me eager to try. Why on earth didn't I google nail polish blogs earlier?
Anyway, I had to get myself a good variety of stuff I could use for nail art. Buying one and one bottle, and teeny weeny wheels with crazy expensive rhinestones wasn't very tempting.. I've been an eBayer since I discovered the place, and I've never had a bad experience shopping there so I decided to take a look. You'll find pages on pages with nail art stuff for a cheap price (note that these are mostly china products, and you don't want to use glitter and such close to your eyes in case of reactions. I can't brag about these being environmentally safe to produce either).
What I recommend a beginner who wants a large selection to produce nail art from, are the following:
Nail art pen (comes in 24 and 48 pack mainly)
100 pots mix nail art (this will give you a solid mix to choose from glitters to shells and all in between)
Orange wood sticks (well, toothpicks are usable too)
Rhinestone nail art wheel (there are several sizes to choose from)
Nail art brush (I recommend getting the 3pcs ones with red, green and blue "heads", and then you can get like a 15pcs set)
Fimo canes
eBay search for the bold letters to find the products I'm talking about. I did not buy any of these from top rated sellers I believe.. But general positive feedback (500+ reviews) with a score above 98% is enough for me when it comes to these cheap things.
Nail art pens
These "pens" comes in a good variety of colours. Shimmery, sheer, glitter, creme.. They come in plastic fantastic containers and most likely a bottle or two will leak inside the package when you get it. The brushes in the bottles vary from great precision to a badger tail, so you might have to trim some of them. Or simply use one of the 3pcs set brushes. Under the cap, there's a tiny hole you can squeeze polish out of and make dots. These will clog, but just poke the hole with a needle and you're good to go. Great to have at backhand if your nail polish collection isn't that big yet.
Rhinestone nail art wheel
Although you get a solid amount of stuff in the 100 pots mix, these wheels are also worth buying because of the round shapes. Rhinestones are so easy to use and can spice up any mani. They can be annoyingly magnetic to the container, but it's still great.
Fimo canes
Get a pack with some nice designs and you're good to go. Very versatile, and only your mind limits the choices you have. Earlier post about them: http://elrania.blogspot.com/2010/06/fimo-canes.html
100 pots mix nail art
Great great mix to get your hands on. When you open your package you might have some glitter spill all over, and many of the lids were loose. But I did not loose much product and my cat likes the sparkles. There's not really much more to it. No duplicates in the mix. (picture is coming)
Orange wood sticks
Great for pushing back cuticles and picking up rhinestones etc.
Nail art brush
The 3pcs set were my first nail art brushes (stripers in three lengths). They're very durable and keeps their shape perfectly after many uses. The 15pcs set I bought mainly because of my urge to try out acrylic paint. Good selection, but I haven't used these much in nail polish remover so I can't tell if they stay in shape after heavy usage.
Also, a dotting tool will be handy if you want to produce some nice dots.
Any questions or requests, feel free to ask in either English, Norwegian, Swedish or Danish. *thumbs up* Read more

China Glaze, Jolly Holly
Dis de season mon! Yeah.. This one is from the 2010 holiday collection from China Glaze. Really super duper pretty shimmer green!
And I'm so sorry about the pictures (looks very mossy green on the circle swatch), and the red fingers are after editing! lol. The Nikon I'm usually using is on a holiday for the next 10 days, so I had to dig out my old Konica Minolta since I was already wearing the colour.. Therefor I won't be doing nail art or swatching for the next days.

Hey hey hey snowflake
It's snowing here, again. I love snow, so I'm back with the snowflake nails. The picture doesn't capture anything ? lol, but I took it in a hurry and then I had to paint. Which my nails are now covered in, wall paint and so... yeeeah.
Ugh, now I'm dying to relax a little, drink my chocolate milk and watch the newest episode of Desperate Housewives. But don't tell anyone.

Cheap polish brand: Jordana, Green Glitz
Jordana banana *sing*
Okey, I tested this one yesterday. The formula is a little watery and gritty like I expected really. Application is good, and it dries fast enough. With one coat it could be used as a "topcoat" since it's fairly sheer enough. I'll try that sometime in the future.
You can get Jordana polishes at http://cherryculture.com/
Three coats, with topcoat in daylight. And pictures are available in supersize like usual. :)
I also made some cupcakeees, random.

GOSH Ocean
Hello guys! I'm still alive and kicking. I've been busy the last couple of days helping my dad out with renovating the house (oh well, I'm just cleaning and painting), and it seems that all inspiration broke off with my index nail. lol.
Also, I got my headless horseman mount! yay
Anyway, I dug in my collection last night and decided to wear this little baby. I'm not really into polishes with frost finishes (screams old lady imo), but this one is sort of like an iridescent frosty so it's really pretty. And green! Application is okey, the brush tend to pick up too much polish for me thou.
Onto the pictures, it's difficult to get a true match but it changes a bit colour from green to more blue depending on the light. Looks more blue on the pics, but in real life it's more green most of the time. And super shiny! Almost like a foil. Hmm.. frost iridescent foil polish? *faint*
Great for Halloween or something if you're going as a mermaid ;)
Three coats with top coat. A tad slobby application and unfriendly cuticles/camera.
GOSH is a Danish brand, and there's not really any good places online that sells these products I think. If you're in Scandinavia you can find them in several stores. Read more

Short nails French-O-Rama
Since my index finger have made it difficult to apply full colours, I've used french manis all the time. A thin nail art bush is essential for applying french tips on short nails if you don't use those french tip guidance stickers.
I actually can't go shorter then on the pink tip picture. Since I've had long nails all my life I have skin that grows outward, and so cutting them shorter = cut skin and bleed. I have filed off some of the newest skin but yeah, can't go shorter! And thanks god for that.. I've had issues living normal without them. Picking up my contact lenses takes like 5 more minutes then normal since I used my long nails as lens tweezers. Short nails are practical they say.. Pfffh!
I'm not sure what I was thinking with this one really.. But I can tell you that it got removed fairly quickly. lol
This morning I woke up to snow. Yay! I love snow, so in the evening I pulled on my less then a year old Joan of Arctic while I was humming "these boots are made for walking". I walked out the door with lots of confidence, I'd been waiting soo long to finally use these boots. After 10min of strolling in the snow I was starting to get blisters, but I kept going for another 5min but then I had to surrender and I turned my nose home. After 5 more minutes I sat down on a pile of snow and tucked my jeans around my heals to minimize the friction, and barely made it back home.
I guess they need another year or two on getting comfy!

Tier 11
I'm still going on about WoW. My nail is getting better thou :)
Anyway, mmo-champion released the tier 11 preview recently, so I figured why not share them with you (female ones).
Hunter
Druid
Warlock
Paladin
Mage
Death Knight
Priest
Shaman
Rogue
Warrior
Okeey, there you have them arranged like on the talent trees I believe. Honestly I like some of them but I feel they don't really match except from the colour scheme, well atleast not priest and hunter. They look like awesome underwater folks while the rest looks ready to take on Deathwing and all other miseries. And ugh with the huge buckles! I've had enough aesthetic problems with the Titan-Forged Waistguard of Triumph. And why does warlock have four colours? Hmm..
I absolutely adore the druid set! I think I'm going to be a green hunter, and white druid. How about you? Read more
