4.0.3a kept me busy
As all of you active wow gamers know, patch 4.0.3a launched this week. The shattering of the world, water everywhere. Yes, quite an exciting patch preparing us for Cataclysm. So I'll show you in pictures what I've been doing, and I still have sooo much to do! Haha, Blizzard knows how to keep us busy.
Also, I was helping out a friend with a pilgrim achievement, the one where you have to go to the alliance capital cities and sit at their tables. Well.. That was one hell of a task when the Auberdine boats are gone, and guards are level 85. THANK YOU! That took 2h 20m, x deaths, and 53g repair. I even had to sacrifice myself (bear druid), so she could get the chance to sit down at the Ironforge table. They could have seriously waited with the 85 guards and removal of portals until we can learn Azeroth flying... Now, the pictures!
First off, look at the cute babies!
You'll also get a personal boat for use in Thousand Needles. Awesome much.
Meet my pet dog Frank. He can lock is jaws.
Then I got the Goblin mount, Trike. I don't feel environmental friendly in it.
Then I found myself a seagull, named Irriterende. He makes annoying seagull squeaks, so I'll be using him in PvP. Because I can. Irriterende can do a backflip.
Then I found myself a cute fox.
He knows how to dance, and with that I'll call him the ultimate girls pet. No name for him yet.
I got picked up by a valkyrie.
Had a nice girl talk with Lady Sylvanas.
And then I got picked up again by a valkyrie, next to a dead guy this time.
Needless to say, I actually love the new stuff for now. Goblin quests is something everyone should get to! Wonder what the world will do to me next.

China Glaze, Party Heart
Another polish from the holiday 2010 collection. This one is a glitter top coat. The glitter particles are as you can see in three various sizes. Tiny gold ones, medium greens and large reds. Also think they're all supposed to be hexagons. Anyway, the perfect finish for a jolly manicure and I really do recommend buying one like right now if you like it, since these are limited.

Tis the season, 3 in 1
The last couple of days have just flown by me totally. But although the days have passed, I've still coloured my nails! So here's China Glaze: Midnight Kiss, Naughty And Nice, Mrs. Claus.
China Glaze Midnight Kiss is a wonderful pale gold foil. I only have one negative thing to point out with this one, it bubbled up a little when it dried. It may have been just a reaction with my NailTek base. Two coats.
China Glaze Mrs. Claus is exactly what I would think Mrs. Claus would wear, in both clothing and nails. It's a redish pink base with pink and silver glitter. It flashes so beautifully in the shade, perfect girls night out polish. Love eeet. Two generous coats.
China Glaze Naughty And Nice is a very dark plum red. I was actually a little disappointed with this one. With the first coat it had a lovely vampy red plum colour, but on the second it looks very black. Also got some bald spots during application. Two coats.

Beginners in the nail art world
What is pretty obvious is that I've only had this obsession with nail polish and nail art the last year and a half. Reading blogs about the subject and seeing all the gorgeous designs really made me eager to try. Why on earth didn't I google nail polish blogs earlier?
Anyway, I had to get myself a good variety of stuff I could use for nail art. Buying one and one bottle, and teeny weeny wheels with crazy expensive rhinestones wasn't very tempting.. I've been an eBayer since I discovered the place, and I've never had a bad experience shopping there so I decided to take a look. You'll find pages on pages with nail art stuff for a cheap price (note that these are mostly china products, and you don't want to use glitter and such close to your eyes in case of reactions. I can't brag about these being environmentally safe to produce either).
What I recommend a beginner who wants a large selection to produce nail art from, are the following:
Nail art pen (comes in 24 and 48 pack mainly)
100 pots mix nail art (this will give you a solid mix to choose from glitters to shells and all in between)
Orange wood sticks (well, toothpicks are usable too)
Rhinestone nail art wheel (there are several sizes to choose from)
Nail art brush (I recommend getting the 3pcs ones with red, green and blue "heads", and then you can get like a 15pcs set)
Fimo canes
eBay search for the bold letters to find the products I'm talking about. I did not buy any of these from top rated sellers I believe.. But general positive feedback (500+ reviews) with a score above 98% is enough for me when it comes to these cheap things.
Nail art pens
These "pens" comes in a good variety of colours. Shimmery, sheer, glitter, creme.. They come in plastic fantastic containers and most likely a bottle or two will leak inside the package when you get it. The brushes in the bottles vary from great precision to a badger tail, so you might have to trim some of them. Or simply use one of the 3pcs set brushes. Under the cap, there's a tiny hole you can squeeze polish out of and make dots. These will clog, but just poke the hole with a needle and you're good to go. Great to have at backhand if your nail polish collection isn't that big yet.
Rhinestone nail art wheel
Although you get a solid amount of stuff in the 100 pots mix, these wheels are also worth buying because of the round shapes. Rhinestones are so easy to use and can spice up any mani. They can be annoyingly magnetic to the container, but it's still great.
Fimo canes

Great great mix to get your hands on. When you open your package you might have some glitter spill all over, and many of the lids were loose. But I did not loose much product and my cat likes the sparkles. There's not really much more to it. No duplicates in the mix. (picture is coming)

Great for pushing back cuticles and picking up rhinestones etc.
Nail art brush
The 3pcs set were my first nail art brushes (stripers in three lengths). They're very durable and keeps their shape perfectly after many uses. The 15pcs set I bought mainly because of my urge to try out acrylic paint. Good selection, but I haven't used these much in nail polish remover so I can't tell if they stay in shape after heavy usage.
Also, a dotting tool will be handy if you want to produce some nice dots.

China Glaze, Jolly Holly
Dis de season mon! Yeah.. This one is from the 2010 holiday collection from China Glaze. Really super duper pretty shimmer green!
And I'm so sorry about the pictures (looks very mossy green on the circle swatch), and the red fingers are after editing! lol. The Nikon I'm usually using is on a holiday for the next 10 days, so I had to dig out my old Konica Minolta since I was already wearing the colour.. Therefor I won't be doing nail art or swatching for the next days.

Hey hey hey snowflake
It's snowing here, again. I love snow, so I'm back with the snowflake nails. The picture doesn't capture anything ? lol, but I took it in a hurry and then I had to paint. Which my nails are now covered in, wall paint and so... yeeeah.

Cheap polish brand: Jordana, Green Glitz
Okey, I tested this one yesterday. The formula is a little watery and gritty like I expected really. Application is good, and it dries fast enough. With one coat it could be used as a "topcoat" since it's fairly sheer enough. I'll try that sometime in the future.

Three coats, with topcoat in daylight. And pictures are available in supersize like usual. :)
